In addition, I also have some experience with shelter animals, so I am rehearsed on approaching and caring for unfamiliar animals and animals which may be frightened by new faces. I have also completed an online 8-week course about the health and welfare of our furry companions prior to my volunteer time within the shelter, to ensure I have a more varied background on animals other than my own!
