I have been singing and playing guitar for over 30+ years and have both performing and teaching experience in this area.

I am somewhat light on musical theory and heavy on the results, hands on playing the instrument style of teaching. However, I tell both children and adults that many years of practicing and playing will be necessary to become good at playing the Guitar. I tell my students that better results will come from 10-15 mins of playing a day rather than hours at a time. It has to be kept fun and enjoyable or you will likely give up on it.
