Hi there! I am offering fundamental art classes for children aged 4-12.
A brief idea of things we will be learning are:
Drawing techniques (shapes and lines, shading, drawing from a reference photo, still life, light...)
Sculpting tecniques (polymer clay sculptures)
Watercolour painting techniques
Puff paint and corn syrup painting
Tie Dye-styled marker projects
Acrylic painting techniques on small cavases
Photography
Collage
Free expression/ art therapy
Creating personal coasters
While the children will be learning a variety of different artistic techniques, my focus is to ensure a fun and creative environment where they feel comfortable and excited while learning something new.
I am an acrylic painting artist, and am currently a part-time art instructor in two elementary schools. I have been working with children as a program leader, summer camp leader and tutor ever since I began working, and therefore have a lot of experience preparing fun and exciting activities for a wide ranged age group!
