Hello Everyone,
My name is Miriam and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher. I completed my teaching degree at Queen's University. My undergrad was in Fine Arts at Windsor University. I have been playing music instruments since they age of 6. My first instrument was the piano and I took lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Music until the age of 11/12. I then continued throughout my schooling. I joined the school band at age 9, learning the clarinet, and continued until the end of high school. I also learned how to play bass clarinet and tenor saxophone. I can read and write music as well as teach and understand musical theory at the intermediate level.
My previous job experience was teaching private piano lessons to children ages 3-9 at a daycare. I am passionate about the arts and believe that each child and person enjoys music and has talent. I am here to bring out that talent and help them to understand the world and language of music. I look forward to teaching your child the beauty and art in both themselves and music.

The reason I charge the rate that I do is because I am able to play 4 instruments, can read and write music, I am an Ontario Certified Teacher, and have experience teaching music to students ages 3-9 (piano). I feel that my rates are fair and affordable.
