Hi there, my name is Erin.

I have a fair bit of experience with seniors. I cared for seniors in a retirement home, as a regular volunteer, for over 5 years; duties included accompanying on excursions, assisting with shopping, dietary aide (menu selection, plating and serving meals, and clean-up), one-on-one companionship, assisting with mobility to and from activities and events, assisted with recreational activities, and more.

I also have experience caring for 3 grandparents when they were ill; 1 with progressive Dementia, and two others who had a stroke. The care involved for the grandparent with Dementia ran ~3 years, and involved companionship, assistance with feeding and mobility (including lifting to and from assisted devices and wheelchairs), dressing, basic personal hygiene, and mental stimulation activities. The two grandparents who had a stroke involved companionship, assistance with mobility and feeding, and mental/verbal stimulation activities.

I am comfortable doing any of the above, minus personal hygiene where bathing and toileting may be involved, as I am not a professional trained PSW. I am First Aid and CPR certified, and can provide references.
