I'm a retired teacher, who loves dogs and would like to work with them. I dog sit my brother's dog when they go away, They bring their dog to my house and I look after her for days at a time. We take walks, and naturally I feed her, and let her out to roam in our back yard.
While I do not own a dog, I grew up with them. They truly are man's best friend.
