I have raised a large family, and enjoy music. I am a kind and patient lady Sr. Citizen, and I want to teach beginner's piano, as that is what I am best at expressing...more advanced piano education requires a lot of extra time with the students ( i.e.recital planning, etc.)
I taught all my children piano; but not all cared to pursue it seriously. I have completed 6 years of finishing about 10 graded courses of study. When I was younger, had wanted to be a full-time piano teacher, but later changed my goals to secretarial career.
I can provide study books in loaning them out, or new ones my future students could buy at my recommendation.
I would like to keep the lessons at my home....depending on the student's situation, I MAY consider lessons in their home; otherwise, in my home, on my piano. Students MUST HAVE an instrument they can have access to for practicing on during the week. I would teach basically with school calendar...September to June. However, if some students would like to have lessons during the summer, and need a little flexability in their schedule, I would work out a plan with them. Depending on the day of the week (preferably NO weekends), I am available from 9 AM to 9PM.

I have heard that this is the going rate for piano lessons in this area... years ago it was $10 for half an hour .I have only taught my children, but have enough knowledge I feel I can teach others of all ages. I would more than likely only start out pupils at one-half hour increments (for half the price). Any small amounts of overtime would not be charged.
