I like spending time with children and the elderly. They both enjoy sharing their experiences.
Just letting someone talk can be very healing for them. My mother is 90 years old, and since my father passed away, she has needed to "chat" more.
But I am also available to do light housework or cooking around the house.
The past interests me. I enjoy history and talking about past events is genuinely stimulating conversation for me. Humour is one of my strengths too, and it is useful in everyday life.
My work with the elderly is primarily with the time I spend with my mother. I have also done volunteer work at Tabor Manor, a home for the aged.
