My name is Sandra , I recently worked in the retirement home industry for over 8 years.
Even though I worked as a receptionist/concierge, I've had the opportunity to interact with the senior population very closely, helping them to make their daily activities work smoothly. Very often the staff was short, so I had to jump in to help out in serving food, feeding, dressing and tucking them to bed. Due to this experiences, I got to learn how to love, to be patient and to be compassionate towards them.
During those years at working in the retirement homes, I felt that I really enjoyed helping them to make their lives more comfortable, so I would like to keep doing it but this time in my own time.
In this regard, I am also able to offer to do errands for or with them; driving them to medical appointments; buying groceries; to do light housekeeping and laundry, preparing light meal, and some administrative tasks as required.
