As I said I have never worked in a professional capacity with the elderly, however have always been interested in doing so. I have a professional background in social work which has given me the skills to work with people in a range of environments, and a variety of abilities. I am good at taking direction and am willing to cook, clean, transport or assist in anyway I can.
My strengths are my empathy, humour, compassion and easy going temperament. I learn quickly and have good time management skills. I enjoy taking care of others, and while compassionate, I have a thick skin and take situations in stride.
