Hi there! My name is Makaila , and I am a 20-year-old, Calgary-raised, classically trained singer. I have been taking voice lessons since the age of four, and I am currently finishing up the third year of my bachelor's degree in Music Education at the University of Victoria. I began teaching singing lessons via Zoom during covid, and have continued to do so throughout university. Sharing my love for singing with students is my greatest passion! I truly feel so grateful to share my knowledge and experience with children, to help them find their love for music. I am a well-rounded teacher and can aid the learning process of any genre from country, to pop, to opera. I am also a self-taught guitarist, able to teach beginner guitar lessons. Along with this, I am open to teaching music theory lessons as well. I am so eager to keep teaching in the Calgary community this summer, and am so excited to hear from those of you who think I would be a good fit! Thank you.
This is the rate I feel most comfortable with to teach lessons to the best of my abilities! However, I am always flexible depending on the student and their individual needs!
